Maria Cristina received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia College in Manila, Philippines. She has been in healthcare for 18 years. Her passion for helping others through healthcare, the appeal of job security, diverse specialties, unending opportunities to learn, and flexible work schedules led her to nursing. Her favorite parts of her role are helping patients and their families through compassionate care, coordinating with other members of the health care team, mentoring other nurses, and leading to foster teamwork, unity, and coordinated care among the unit staff. In her personal time, she enjoys listening to music, singing, running outdoors, walking, going out with family and friends to dinners and concerts, playing sports, and taking brief vacations and trips. Her motto in her work life is "teamwork makes the dream work".
